NORWAY — Wallace R. Anderson, 87, of Norway, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.

He was born Jan. 1, 1937, in Norway, son of the late Roy and Pauline (Herzog) Anderson. Wallace was a graduate of Niagara High School, Class of 1955. He married Margaret Pohlson on April 28, 1956, in Kingsford. She preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 2021.

Wally was an auto technician for ERA for 12 years. He had a long history, working many diverse jobs to provide for his family, and he had plenty of stories to share.

He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. He was an avid antique car fan and loved gatherings with family and friends. We will miss the bib-overalls and famous hats.

Survivors include one son, Joseph (Debra) Anderson of Norway; three daughters, Suzette Vance of California, Eileen (Craig) Alleva of Alabama and Mary Lou Anderson of Kingsford; one brother, Donald (Helen) Anderson of North Carolina; two sisters, Jean (Mertis) Robinson of Arizona, and Joyce (Mike) Lahti of Arizona; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Margaret, Wallace was preceded in death by one son, Roy Anderson; and two sisters, Karen Loznicki and Lynda Strubing.

In accordance with Wallace’s wishes, private family services will be held.
