By Daphne Clarance: Rani Mukerjee might not be as social media savvy as the next Bollywood celebrity, but she still knows how to create a storm on the internet. Her sartorial looks are seldom ignored, and when she steps out in a saree, it’s quite a sight.
As she epitomises traditional appeal with just a simple drape, Rani adds a touch of elegance to every outing.
She continued her fashion streak recently when she was promoting her film, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. To ooze sophistication, she chose to wear plain sarees by designer Masaba Gupta during her publicity duties and aced them.
Besides this, Rani even debuted Masaba’s Ranicore 2.0 saree, which is the second version of her famous Ranicore collection, which she launched in November 2022.
Displaying the many aspects of Rani’s look on Instagram, Masaba, on Monday, described the gorgeous outfit. While the saree was a lightweight chanderi finish with gota-patti border, the blouse was a custom woven cotton one with paan-patti motif featuring gold dori and delicate sequins.
As Rani embraced the Ranicore 2.0 collection with this saree, Masaba shared another Instagram post hinting at a new collection launch. Meanwhile, if you’re interested in the stunning drape, then it will cost Rs 20,000.
Rani also wore another saree from Masaba Gupta’s label for one of her promotional events. She opted for a black drape that costs Rs 15,000 with a white border and a stylish bralette blouse with sheer long sleeves. A black bindi perfectly accessorised the look, adding to its simplistic charm.
Rani Mukerji’s Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway releases today, March 14. It co-stars Anirban Bhattacharya.
