Arsenal look to extend their lead atop the Premier League table as they make a cross-London trip to visit Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The Gunners, who enter the weekend with a five-point advantage, will want at the very least to reestablish their lead over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, who beat Crystal Palace the day before.
Europa League play threw Arsenal for a loop midweek, as manager Mikel Arteta made six changes to the lineup and saw his stand-ins put in a shaky performance, lucky to get out of Lisbon with a 2-2 draw thanks to a fortunate own-goal equaliser. He still has some lingering selection issues for the match at Fulham as they return to top flight domestic action.
Fulham, meanwhile, are in excellent position, fighting for a European place as they sit eighth in the table, but see Brighton and Brentford around them with games in hand. Still, it’s been a positive season for the Whites, having challenged top teams on multiple occasions.

Fulham vs Arsenal prediction, odds
- Moneyline lean: Arsenal (-165)
- Against the spread lean: Arsenal -0.5 (-190)
- Score prediction: Fulham 0-2 Arsenal
Fulham have looked solid this year, but they have two key issues coming into this match. Do-it-all midfielder Paulinha is suspended for yellow card accumulation, leaving a gaping hole in the middle of the pitch. Additionally, a lingering foot injury has sapped the form of talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic, and while he should be available for selection, his danger level has dropped significantly since the World Cup break concluded.
Arsenal are likely to have Martin Odegaard and Thomas Partey back in midfield, plus the return of Gabriel after his rest in the Europa League game. So there will just be too much for Fulham to overcome. The Whites have not beaten Arsenal since a 2-1 home victory in 2012, a run of nine winless matches against the Gunners, and that streak should continue here.

Fulham vs Arsenal: best bet
- Pick: Gabriel Martinelli anytime goal scorer
- Odds: +200 (BetMGM)
- Pick: Gabriel Martinelli 2+ shots on target
- Odds: +230 (FanDuel)
It’s honestly shocking that Gabriel Martinelli’s odds to score in this match are so high. He’s a great finisher, scoring 11 goals this season off 7.40 xG, and he’s likely to stand in yet again as Arsenal’s central striker with Gabriel Jesus not ready for a starting role and Leandro Trossard a doubt with a groin injury.
Martinelli should have picked up a goal against Sporting in midweek, collecting 0.85 xG on three shots, of which two were blatant scoring chances. He shredded the Sporting defence with seven completed take-ons in nine attempts, and could enjoy a similar return given the match against Fulham should prove equally as chaotic. The last time these two teams met, Martinelli ripped off a whopping seven shots, putting two on frame.
The Whites have conceded the highest expected goals of any Premier League team this season, and are in their position in large part thanks to former Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno, who statistically is the best goalkeeper in the English top flight this campaign. Still, given that Fulham are without Paulinha, there should be oodles of chances for the Brazilian in attack.
Fulham vs Arsenal prop bet
- Pick: Fulham over 2.5 bookings
- Odds: +148 (FanDuel)
These two teams can get after each other, and both feature fiery personalities. The absence of Paulinha, the Premier League’s most cautioned player, is reflected in the odds. But it shouldn’t greatly affect this card total.
Fulham have earned the most yellow cards in the Premier League this season, and even without Paulinha’s league-leading 10 cautions, they would still rank fourth behind Everton, Crystal Palace, and Man United. Bobby Reid and Andreas Pereira have each collected seven bookings, and both Antonee Robinson and Aleksandar Mitrovic have six despite each missing some time due to injury.
Referee David Coote dished out four yellow cards to Fulham in his only time taking charge of one of their matches this season, and he gave Everton four cautions in a home game against Arsenal not long ago. Coote whistles for the second-most fouls per tackle of any full-time lead official in the Premier League, and while his yellow cards per match tally of 3.69 is muted in comparison, he’s still not afraid to hand out cautions.
